EH&S Decommissioning of Acquired Businesses
New England and Brazil
ES&M supported and managed EH&S aspects of decommissioning light manufacturing/laboratories in New England and Brazil by first working with the customer’s in-house team members from Production, Quality, Engineering, R&D, Finance, Facilities and Real Estate to develop an “End-State” vision. Next, ES&M utilized an Environmental Due Diligence & Decommissioning Toolkit (developed by ES&M) to support a smooth and timely project to achieve stated goals and objectives. This involved integrating EH&S action items into the work breakdown structure and critical path of the project along with the company's Quality Project Tracking Plan. ES&M managed EH&S activities, inventoried equipment, established and oversaw waste management (recycling, product destruction, solid and hazardous waste), decontamination activities, equipment dismantling, rigging, packaging and shipping. ES&M worked with the various teams’ members and qualified contractors to ensure compliance, prepared the appropriate EH&S plans and closure documentation.
