Full-time Field Technician Position
ES&M is seeking a full-time field technician to join our team. Field technicians at ES&M support our environmental, engineering and EHS compliance teams. The field tech performs a variety of field-based tasks including soil/water sample collection, subcontractor supervision, remediation system installation, and remediation system operations and maintenance activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct all work safely, following company, OSHA and site-specific health and safety plan guidance.
• Collect air, water, storm water, wastewater and soil samples
• Perform environmental treatment system operation and maintenance activities
• Install and maintain data collection instrumentation
• Assist with environmental treatment system installations
• Assist with in-situ injection programs
• Perform construction monitoring work to ensure compliance to project design
• Accurately, neatly and completely document field work in field notes.
• Complete paperwork per company operating procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Safety First attitude: follow safe work instructions and work safely in office and field.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• High school diploma; trade school or associate degree preferred.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills and aptitude.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Self-motivated personality with the ability to manage own time and work independently.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Previous field work experience preferred.
• OSHA 40-hour/refresher Hazwoper training preferred.
• First Aid/CPR training preferred.
• TWIC preferred.
• Ability to work legally in the US.
• Drug and alcohol testing is performed on all employees.
